Sa datu Abdulahi from Hong LGA displaying the home-made soaps produced by her. This was made possible with the loan she got from the VSLA. Aside the soap, she also diversified into handbags for girls, groundnut oil and groundnut cake in other to improve her economic wellbeing and her household.
Fasma Ishagum is now into thrift cloth trading. This was made possible through the loan she got from the VSLA. Prior to this, she did not have any other means of livelihood aside relying on her husband for upkeep money but now she is able to support her home due to the financial knowledge gained during the VSLA training which has helped her start a business.
Fadimatu Kinjin got loan from her VSLA and ventured in selling of high-quality rappers for women likewise her friend who is also a member of the VSLA group Amina Musa got the VSLA loan& is into selling of Bedspread& Duvets.
Rejoice James from Bazza Michika LGA took a loan from her VSLA group and started with the sale of sugar cane, after some few months she transitioned into selling other commodities that are frequently sort after by households. She is now enjoying the benefit of the loan as she is able to afford her basic needs. Her next plan is to rent a shop and use the proceeds from the business to further her education.
The vegetable garden farm in Tawa community was partly washed away by flash floods. However, the Garden Farming Action Group (GFAG) were able to plant rice in replacement of the vegetable. The group harvested a total of seven (7) bags of rice from the portion planted with rice. A bag was sold to pay for labour cost and the rest six (6) bags have been stored to be sold whenever the price of rice go up. The group decided that the money that will be generated from the sale of the rice will be put into their VSLA to generate more income for them.
